Southern Voices Programme Areas

The Southern Voices Capacity Building Programme aims to strengthen climate networks in the South in their ability to advocate for climate policies that benefit poor and vulnerable people. Go to Climate Networks to see which networks and organisations are supported through the programme.

The key programme areas are:

Capacity building
The focus is on strengthening the capacity of the networks for advocacy and awareness-raising on climate change issues. This can imply an organisational development of the network – an increase in membership, strengthened governance, or new alliances. Each network will define its needs for capacity building through a "network capacity analysis". Go to Capacity Building

Advocacy
The Networks will prepare advocacy plans on how to influence policy makers on national, regional and international levels in order to promote pro-poor climate policies and programmes, Go to Advocacy

Knowledge Sharing
The focus is on facilitating the sharing of knowledge and know-how between climate policy networks. Go to Knowledge Sharing
