Country assessments and case studies
The climate networks in the Southern Voices programme analyse and assess climate policies and programmes in their countries and regions. The reports with case studies and recommendations will feed into an international report - the Southern Voices on Climate Policy Choices, edited by IIED, with a first version to be presented at COP17 in Durban.

West Africa Climate Change in West Africa: Key Issues This report by CAN West Africa, provides an overview of the key challenges and opportunities associated to climate change in West Africa, and the issues civil society could focus on, as well as suggest a number of strategies and options that promote sustainable development in a changing climate
Mexico Case study: Financing change without changing the climate Case study provided by CAN-Latin America prepared by Grupo de fianciamento para Mexico (the Finance Group for Mexico), a group of civil society organisations and experts. The study presents how the group is engaging in dialogue with the Mexican government to promote a transparent architechture for international climate finance, and to give climate change a higher priority in the Mexican national budget. In its work the group is emphasising the perspective of human and righs and gender equality. Nicaragua National Assesment Report - Policies, Programs and Studies of the Cases of Climate Change in Nicaragua Sustainability Watch has prepared a national assessment of climate change policies and programs in Nicaragua, including five case studies. JCCI Newsletter #6 The Joint Climate Change Initiative (JCCI) is formed by local Cambodian organisations, including some from Southern Voices supported networks.
